Backend Automation • Data Flow • Reliability
PulsePipe
A backend automation system: it ingests raw CSV data, validates and normalizes records, detects anomalies, and produces clean JSON outputs, with structured logging and resilient retry behavior. Built for the kind of “quiet” systems that save people time and prevent bad data from spreading.
Ingest → validate → transform
Normalized + anomalies JSON reports
Structured logging + retry backoff
I enjoy building tools that help people, especially automations that remove repetitive work, make messy inputs trustworthy, and keep teams moving. PulsePipe is a small, focused example: it’s designed to be readable, testable, and boringly reliable.
Clean pipeline
Ingest → validate → transform with safe defaults and explicit failure modes.
Data quality
Flags missing/invalid fields and unexpected actions in a dedicated anomaly report.
Operability
Structured logs + rolling files and exponential backoff retries for transient errors.
How it works
- Read CSV rows and validate required fields (with clear rejection reasons).
- Normalize types (dates, numbers) and standardize actions into a consistent schema.
- Emit normalized.json for clean downstream usage.
- Emit anomalies.json for data quality review.
- Log every stage; retry IO failures with exponential backoff.
